Volta Regional Beach Soccer Committee is Strategic - Daniel Agbogah.

The Chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA), Daniel Agbogah has disclosed that the newly constituted Beach Soccer Committee is a strategic one.


He made this known during the media interaction at the maiden Beach Soccer Clinic and Media Engagement at Tegbi in the Keta Municipality.

“The Regional Beach Soccer Committee is a strategic Committee, whose membership is more technical and were selected for a particular reason,” Mr. Agbogah said.

“Every member was strategically placed in the committee considering the kind of role they will play to help the sport,” he added.


The Seven(7) member committee consists of a representative from the Beach Soccer Clubs, Traditional rulers, District Football Personnel, Marketers, and Businessmen.


Reuben Dzidodo Adjahoe who is the chairman represents the Beach Soccer Clubs. 


Mama Ayaba Duse Equagoo II who is the Queen Mother of Somey traditional area represents the traditional rulers her role is to liaise for land and other traditional matters regarding the sport.

 

Joseph Kwasi Nyavi and Kenneth Kpedor are businessmen whose role is to attract sponsors to the sport.

 

Barson Foli, and Edem Galley are football connoisseurs in the Ketu Municipality, Mr. Foli is the chairman of the Ketu Municipal Football Association.


Sandocal Akpabli is a media man whose role is to connect activities of Beach Soccer to the media.


Daniel Kovor serves as the secretary to the committee.

The event, which is the first of its kind in Ghana was aimed at establishing a platform to interact with the media and develop an action plan for the development of sport in the region.

It also attracted both national and regional Beach Soccer committee members.

Later in the day, Thirty young players (27 boys, 3 girls) took part in a Beach Soccer Clinic, which was intended at introducing young players to the sport.
