Volta FA ends Referee’s Fitness Test in Ho.

The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA), has completed  a day’s Fitness Test for Referees at the Sports Stadium in Ho, the Volta regional capital.


The fitness test is part of the preparations towards the commencement of  the Association’s Regional Leagues (Division Two, Women's and Juvenile).


The exercise was also to assess the fitness and preparedness of Referees ahead of the season.



All 78 Referees (74 Men, and 4 Women)  from the Volta and Oti regions participated in the fitness test. 


However, Premier, Division One, and Women Premier League referees from the region are excluded. 


Participants were taken through a 40 and 30-meter dash, CODA Test, and High-Intensity exercises, which will determine those to be selected as match officials for the season.



CAF Technical Instructor, Emmanuella Aglago, and National Fitness Instructor, Mama Augustina Fugar, the Regional Referee's Instructor, Frank Danakpor, and other regional technical instructors were facilitators.


The VRFA Vice-Chairman, Ceaser Heh congratulated participating Referees and disclosed that a date will be soon be fixed for a workshop.


” Well done and congratulations to you all for participating in today's fitness tests.


” We look forward to seeing you again for a workshop.

"When the date is set the FA shall communicate that to you,” Mr. Heh said. 


The list of qualified Referees and Assistants would be announced in a due course.
